BORDENTOWN Beatrice O. Sullivan, 98, died Dec. 5 at the Virtua Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lumberton Township.
Born and raised in Tamaqua, Pa., she resided in Newportville, Pa. for 50 years before moving to Bordentown in 2002. She was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting.
Ms. Sullivan was the wife of 55 years of the late Joseph L. Sullivan and the daughter of the late Harry J. Gerlacher and Gussie Mae (Nahf) Gerlacher. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred M. Yeager of Tamaqua, Gertrude I. Schwarz of Cape May, Grace D. Gerlacher of Philadelphia and her brother Harry J. Gerlacher of Bristol Township, Pa. She is survived by her two sons Lawrence J. Sullivan of Bristol Borough, Pa. and David L. Sullivan and his wife Cynthia of Kinnelon Township, as well as her daughter Helene D. Shea and her husband Tom of Bordentown. Also ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated Monday at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown with Rev. Michael J. Burns officiating. A Christian Wake service held Sunday was led by Deacon Ronald Zalegowski at the Bordentown Home for Funerals. Burial was held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bordentown. Arrangements were under the direction of Robert L. Pecht, Bordentown Home for Funerals, 40 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
