Kenneth Ball Sr.

   AVALON — Kenneth N. Ball Sr. died Nov. 21 in Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township. He was 69.
   Born in Chester, he had resided in Avalon for the past 10 years, having previously lived in Hillsborough Township most of his life.
   Mr. Ball was an electrical inspector with Middle Department Inspection Agency, West Chester, Pa., for 30 years, retiring in 1997.
   He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.
   He was former chief and life member of the Neshanic Volunteer Fire Company, Neshanic Station.
   Mr. Ball was involved with many fund-raising activities for the fire company, and ran the Halloween haunted house.
   For the past 10 years he was a member of the Avalon Volunteer Fire Department.
   Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Vail Ball; a daughter, Sharon McNeiland, and a son, Kenneth N. Jr., both of Hillsborough; and four grandchildren.
   Memorial services were held Dec. 9 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington. Interment was private.
