PRINCETON – Members of Cantus, the middle school choir of the Westminster Conservatory have been invited to sing at the White House on Dec. 20.
The choir, conducted by Patricia Thel, is one of three open, by audition to students from the second grade through middle school. Cantus, the middle school choir, has now received three White House invitations in the past seven years.Choir members making the trip this year are: Lauren Wood (Ewing), Sylvie Korman (Princeton), Emily Lai (Montgomery), Olivia Donaldson (Plainsboro), Susan Knox (Ewing), JenniferPan (Montgomery), Michael DeRupo (Metuchen), Justin Lien (KendallPark), Lauren Casarona (West Windsor), Mara Stegaru (Princeton) Alexandria Griner (Rocky Hill), Helena Ord (Princeton), Nathan Apgar (Trenton), Matthew Triplett (Montgomery), Kiernan Matts (Hamilton), Katherine Chang (Plainsboro), Erik Lanzner (Princeton), Timothy Vasseur (Princeton), Jordan Carroll (West Windsor) and Stephanie Champi (Lawrence).Other choirs in the Conservatory’s choral program are Schola, for second and third graders, and Concino, for fourth and fifth graders.
