ROBBINSVILLE—The township Zoning Board of Adjustment last week unanimously approved a site plan for a new pharmacy and age-restricted apartment building with bulk variances, and construction is expected to begin early next year, according to officials.
Sharbell Development Co., the same developer responsible for Washington Town Center, received approval to construct a 63,448-square-foot mixed-use building at 2370 Route 33, on the corner of Robbinsville-Edinburgh Road.
The age-restricted structure will be for those 55 and older, and will consist of three levels of housing (39 units total) and one level of parking, according to Sharbell Vice President Tom Troy. He said there are currently no numbers available for housing prices.
One entrance and exit point for the newly-approved facility will be located on Robbinsville-
Edinburgh Road, with another on Union Street. An entrance will also be placed on Route 33.
The pharmacy will include a drive through and will be located on the ground level, with three stories of office space above. Mr. Troy said he cannot disclose details yet, but the pharmacy will be a national chain.
The project is expected to break ground in the beginning of 2008, and construction will last approximately 15 months, Mr. Sharbell said.
