READINGTON TOWNSHIP George A. Justin Sr., 74, died Dec. 5 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township.
Born in Clifton, he had lived in Readington Township since 1957. A former lieutenant with the New Jersey State Police, he retired in 1985 after 28 years of service. During his career he was stationed in Hopewell, Hightstown, Edgewater Park, Princeton, New Brunswick and Woodbridge. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea. He was a member of Darcy Lodge #37 F. & A. M., Frenchtown; a 32nd-degree Scottish Rite Mason; and was a member of the New Jersey State Police Former Trooper’s Association.
Son of the late Abram W. and Selina Preswitch Justin, he is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gail August Justin; son and daughter-in-law George and Monica Justin Jr. of Jackson; daughter Charlotte Justin of Wind Gap, Pa. and her fiance, Robert Mills, and his children; sister and brother-in-law Selina and John Lotito of Lebanon; grandchildren Ashley Liptak, Brittany Liptak, Gabriella Justin and George Justin; and several nephews.
