Hoax admitted in campus threats, assault

PRINCETON—A Princeton University student who claimed to have been assaulted after receiving threatening emails objecting to his conservative views has admitted making up the entire story, police said on Monday.
According to the Princeton Township Police Department, Francisco Nava, 23, admitted to "fabricating" the emails and the assault complaint and had been released to Princeton University Police, pending further investigation. Nava could be charged with filing a false report, which is a disorderly persons offense.
The Daily Princetonian had earlier reported that Navas, other officers of the Anscombe Society and a prominent conservative politics professor had received identical threatening emails last Wednesday.
