A traveling “Every Baby Story Tour” motor coach is crossing the nation on a challenging 16-city, 28-day road trip, collecting memorable, inspiring, and humorous baby stories from moms and
Capital Health System (CHS) hosted the tour bus on Wednesday, October 17 at its Mercer campus.
Jalen Green and Isaiah Robinson, two New Jersey children whose pictures are featured on the bus, were among the first to share their stories on the bus.
”We’re honored to be a part of this nationwide tour that gives families a chance to tell their stories about their babies,” said Adriana Robinson of Trenton, NJ, mother of Isaiah, a spring 2004 newborn delivered at Capital Health System’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Mercer campus.
“Telling these stories helps us to connect with other families, and lets everyone be aware of the growing crisis of premature birth and how to help support the March of Dimes.”
“We are proud to be part of this project,” said Al Maghazehe, PhD, CEO and president of CHS. “The most important parts of our NICU are the caring individuals that work there everyday – our board certified neonatologists, Magnet recognized nurses, nurse practitioners and the March of Dimes family support personnel. Their expertise and commitment offers at-risk infants the best opportunity to survive and gives them a chance to live healthy and successful lives.”
“This storytelling project lets proud parents all over the country tell a special story about the baby they know and love,” said Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, president of the March of Dimes. “Families can also express their hopes and dreams for a baby who has struggled to survive.”
