Mr. Cartolano, 44, of Manalapan, died Dec. 5, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he had lived there before moving to Manalapan in 1978. Mr. Cartolano was an engineer at CB Richard Ellis McGraw-Hill Construction, Hightstown, for the past four years. He previously worked as a service technician for J.T. Falk & Co. technical services, New York City, for 20 years. Mr. Cartolano was a communicant of The Church of St. Andrew, Staten Island. He was also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers and the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, both of New York City. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen, in 2005. Surviving are his father, Lawrence Cartolano; a sister and brother-in-law, Lauren and Christopher Lepore of the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick; a nephew and a niece; and his girlfirned, Heather Darby of Sharpsburg, Ga. A memorial service was held at The Church of St. Andrew. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
