YMCA Angel Patrol collected 2,500 items

Lu Ann Aversa of YMCA
On behalf of the board of trustees and staff of the Hunterdon County YMCA, we wish to convey our thanks for the tremendous support shown by our members and the Hunterdon County community for our annual holiday Angel Patrol program.
Your generosity helped make the holidays joyous for many in our extended community family who are experiencing financial hardship at this time.
The response this year was overwhelming. Over 2,500 items were collected and distributed to 18 individuals and families and 10 community agencies, including Anderson House, Fisherman’s Mark, Flemington Food Pantry, Friendship Center for New Beginnings, Good News Home for Women, Hunterdon Youth Services, Hunterdon County Youth Shelter, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Open Cupboard Food Pantry and Safe in Hunterdon.
We also would like to thank our community partners whose generosity and assistance was again incredible: Quantitative Technologies Inc.; Team Link; Bedard, Kurowicki & Co; Maser Consulting; The Print Shoppe Inc; Couch Braunsdorf Insurance Group; Hunterdon County Chamber of Commerce; Hunterdon County Planning and Zoning Administrators Association; Immaculate Conception Parishioners; Ingersoll-Rand; Center for Educational Advancement; Clinton Sunrise Rotary; Clinton Wine & Spirits; Crossroads Christian Academy; Curves; Paul’s Transfer; PNC Bank; Union Township Elementary School; Juliettes Girl Scouts Whitehouse Station; and Newcomers Club Central Hunterdon County.
Last, but not least, we’d like to express our appreciation to the staff and volunteers of the Hunterdon County YMCA who spent countless hours sorting, wrapping and distributing the gifts. You and the Hunterdon County community have shown yourselves to be true angels: messengers of the real meaning and spirit of the holiday season.
