HOPEWELL — Douglas Fountain Bushnell died Sunday at home. He was 87.
He worked many years at American Express.
Born in Browntown, he graduated from Rutgers University and served in a bomb disposal unit in the Navy during World War II.
Husband of the late Margaret Meeker Bushnell, who died in 1970, he is survived by his second wife of 29 years, Betty Wold Johnson Bushnell; sons and daughters-in-law David and Kim and Michael and Vera; daughter and son-in-law Rebecca, and John; stepchildren Robert, Elizabeth, and Christopher Johnson, and his wife Jane; and 17 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Dec. 27 at Princeton University Chapel.
