A state Superior Court judge has sentenced a North Hanover man to 26 years in prison for sexually assaulting three girls between 1996 and 2004.
According to a representative of the court, Melvin McCall, 54, pleaded guilty to three counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. He was sentenced by a Superior Court judge Nov. 30 in Mount Holly.
The relationship of the three girls to Mr. McCall and their ages were not being released in order to protect the victims, said Burlington County Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Morgan.
Mr. McCall was charged in October 2004.
After Mr. McCall completes his sentence, he will register as a convicted sex offender under Megan’s Law, which also requires him to submit DNA samples to police.
He also will be subject to community supervision for life after parole.
