School Board OKs personnel recommendations

VALLEY SCHOOL BOARD UPDATE

   The hiring of Pam Vaccaro as Central High School nurse for the 2007-2008 school year was among the personnel actions approved Dec. 10 by the Hopewell Valley school board.
   Ms. Vaccaro’s annual salary will be $45,403, pending contract ratification by the Hopewell Valley Education Association (HVEA), or local teachers union.
   Other personnel actions approved unanimously by the school board were:
   — The acceptance of the resignation of Mark O’Neill, campus safety officer at Timberlane Middle School, effective Dec. 21.
   — Appointment of Victoria Radabaugh as school psychologist at Bear Tavern Elementary for 2007-2008 at a salary of $32,903, effective Dec. 3, pending contract ratification by the HVEA
   — Appointment of Anthony Muro as active directory/Windows specialist for 2007-2008 at a salary of $73.000, effective Dec. 17, pending contract ratification.
   — Appointment of Jillian Darey as a Bear Tavern special education teacher for 2007-2008 at the salary of $47,143, pending contract ratification, effective Dec. 12
   — Appointment of Susan Phillips as Spanish teacher at Bear Tavern for 2007-2008, at an annual salary of $49,310, pending contract ratification, effective Dec. 3. This is a replacement position.
   — Appointment of Jennifer Singer as school social worker at Timberlane Middle School for 2007-2008, effective Dec. 4, at a salary of $47,143, pending contract ratification. This is a replacement position.
   All the personnel actions were recommended for board approval by Superintendent Judith A. Ferguson.
