    New Year’s Eve Dinner Dance: VFW Post 9111 of South Brunswick will host a New Year’s Eve party with music and dinner at the Post home, Henderson Road, at 8 p.m. Donations are $35 per person, or $40 at the door.     Blood donor drive: Congregation B’nai Tikvah, Finnegans Lane, will sponsor a winter blood drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Watch the NFL playoffs while helping to save lives.     Inaugural Ball: Semi-formal event sponsored by the South Brunswick High School’s Dead President’s Society. 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the blue cafeteria at the high school, Ridge Road. Tickets will be $7 until Jan. 4 and will be $10 at the door. Food, beverages, live band, dancing and more.     Skins and Skulls of NJ: Learn about some of New Jersey’s 450 vertebrate animals while examining their pelts and skulls. 1 p.m. at the educational building at the D&R Canal State Park’s Kingston office, Mapleton Road.
