LAWRENCE Irving Theron Blanchard, 82, died Tuesday at Capital Health Systems at Helene Fuld, Trenton.
Born in Braintree, Vt., he formerly lived in Freehold and Hightstown before moving to Lawrenceville 15 years ago. He was in the Navy as a sonar man second class from 1945 to 1949. He was last employed by Kimberly-Clark in Spotswood as a machine operator.
Mr. Blanchard was a lifetime member of the VFW 3525 of Hamilton. He was an avid New York Mets fan. He also loved saltwater fishing and enjoyed carpentry.
Son of the late Fred L. and Viva Mae Adams Blanchard and brother of the late Barbara Lee, he is survived by his wife, Diana Blanchard of Lawrenceville; sons and daughters-in-law Danny F. and Diane Blanchard of Mercerville, Donald J. and LuAnn Blanchard of New York, David D. Blanchard of Trenton and Douglas A. and Linda Blanchard of Columbus; brothers Stillman F. Blanchard of Missouri and Smith M. Blanchard of Florida; sister Ivis Braker of Freehold; grandchildren Ryan, Megan and David Blanchard; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday with a memorial service at 3 p.m. at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
