Royal Cabinet gets green certified

Hillsborough-based cabinet manufacturer Royal Cabinet Company recently received certification in the environmental stewardship program accredited by the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturer’s Association.
Introduced in 2006, KCMA’s environmental stewardship program was created as a means of recognizing industry manufacturers who use ecologically sound materials and practice environmentally friendly manufacturing processes. In order to qualify for the ESP certification, manufacturers must achieve compliance in five categories, including air quality, product resource management, process resource management, environmental stewardship, and community relations. Once certified, manufacturers are evaluated annually to maintain certification credentials.
In conjunction with its ESP certification Royal Cabinet announced the introduction of the “New Leaf” environmentally sound line of custom cabinets. Royal Cabinet President and Owner Paul McDonald stated, “Although we have always maintained an environmentally conscious team, the ESP certification and the debut of the New Leaf line exemplifies our commitment to a healthier community, and future. We are proud of this certification and our company’s dedication to practicing sustainable forestry, improving air quality, conserving energy, and reducing waste throughout our manufacturing process.”
