Violet D. Roscoe

   HILLSBOROUGH — Violet D. Roscoe died Dec. 14 at Somerville Medical Center in Somerville. She was 83.
   Born in Passaic, formerly of Pennington, she lived in Branchburg for 30 years before moving to Hillsborough in 2001.
   Mrs. Roscoe was employed as a registered nurse by Perth Amboy General Hospital and Somerset Medical Center for over 40 years retiring in 1994. She was a graduate of St. Mary Nursing School in Passaic in 1949.
   She was a member of the Private Duty Nursing Association, and former communicant of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Bridgewater and St. Ann Roman Catholic Church in Raritan.
   She was predeceased by her brothers, Albert, Theodore and Edward DeRenzo and sisters, Adeline Zoll, Stella and Carmela DeRenzo.
   Surviving are her children, Herbert Roscoe, Robert Roscoe and his wife Sharon, Jody Weber, Pamela Roscoe and Robin Roscoe; her sister, Helen DeRenzo; grandchildren, Deanna Kim, Christa Weber, Ernest Searight, Jesse Roscoe, Nicole Roscoe, Robert Roscoe, Clayton VanNess; and great-grandchildren, Jevon Searight, Seugli Kim, Noah Searight and Nyire Searight.
   Services were held Dec. 20 at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home in Somerville, followed by a mass at St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Bridgewater. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery in Bridgewater.
