Freelance writer
Diane E. Alington-Leaf of Princeton died Friday at home after a long illness. She was 65.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she moved to the United States in 1962.
She was a freelance writer.
She graduated from Centenary College in Hacketstown in 1971 and Princeton University in 1973. She received her doctorate in 1984.
Daughter of the late Audrey Robertson, she is survived by her father, Geoffrey Alington; sons Daniel M. Leaf and Jonathan I. Leaf; daughter Sarah R. Leaf; sisters and brothers-in-law Alaine and Keith Burgess, Lynn and Jim O’Brien, and Roberta and Tony DeLuca; granddaughter Emma DiNapoli; nieces Katharine O’Brien and Adrienne DeLuca; and nephew Chris DeLuca.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Princeton Cemetery.
Calling hours are 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.
