In addition to the usual holdings, the library is a repository for local documents and memorabilia of the Johns-Manville Corp., with special collections on coal and asbestos. A member of the Raritan Valley Federation of Libraries, the Manville Library offers reciprocal borrowing privileges with nine area libraries, and through the Highlands Regional Library Cooperative, offers inter-library loan services from a CD-based union list of regional holdings.
