HAMILTON Alda E. Angelucci Chiacchio, 90, died Friday at St. Joseph’s Nursing Center at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. A graduate of Hamilton High School and the Trenton Business School, she was a former chief bookkeeper for Trenton Mineral Flooring and American Stucco, both businesses owned by her late father. She also formerly co-owned and operated The Olden Hardware Store on South Olden Avenue in Hamilton, which she and her late husband founded in 1955.
Ms. Chiacchio was the widow of Armand Chiacchio, who died in 1992. Daughter of the late Enrico and Maria Cincaretti Angelucci and grandmother of the late Joy Chiacchio, she was also predeceased by four siblings, Andrew Angelucci, Armando Angelucci, Mary Mercantini and Ann Mercantini. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas H. and Judith E. Chiacchio of Hopewell Township; two grandsons, Thomas H. Chiacchio Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa. and Theodore J. (Ted) Chiacchio of Chicago, Ill.; one dear brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Cynthia Angelucci of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
A private Mass of Christian Burial for family attendance was celebrated Tuesday at The Holy Rosary Chapel of Morris Hall, 1 Bishops Drive, Lawrenceville. Private interment was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
