HAMILTON Michael J. Ferko, 75, died Friday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Ferko retired as a clinical pharmacist from the State of New Jersey. He was a registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania and Florida for 50 years. He was also employed by several local pharmacies, Siegel’s and Jackson & Comb of Trenton, Cunningham’s of Hightstown, Foy’s of Hamilton, and the Roebling Pharmacy of Roebling.
He was the son of the late Michael and Anna Scerba Ferko, husband of the late Jacqueline Gelineau Ferko, and brother of the late Ethyl Tonne. He is survived by his son, Marc Ferko of Hamilton. He is also survived by his niece, Beverly Tonne Ashworth, of Robbinsville; his great-niece, Jennifer Mullen and her husband Brian, of Pemberton; his great-nephew, Sean Ashworth, of Hamilton Square; his two great-great-nephews, Ian and Aidan Mullen; and one great-great-niece, Cailin Mullen; all of Pemberton. He is also survived by his aunt, Bert Stevulak, and his uncle, Thomas Scerba; his sister-in-law, Janine Furuheim of Canada; along with many cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends shared their condolences with the family Wednesday at Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton. Office of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Byzantine Catholic Church, Grand and Malone Streets, Trenton, with Fr. Gregory J. Noga as celebrant.
Interment was in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery No. 3 in Hamilton.
