The radio station 1050 ESPN New York (WEPN-AM) has reached a multi-year local marketing agreement with Nassau Broadcasting Partners, L.P. for its station WCHR 1040 AM licensed to Flemington.
Beginning in mid-January 1040 AM will broadcast 1050 ESPN New York’s signal on a full-time basis. Under the terms of the agreement, 1040 AM will carry 1050’s entire broadcast which will now cover a substantial number of counties in New Jersey including all or portions of Hunterdon, Mercer, Montgomery, Northampton, Somerset and Warren counties and will provide additional Pennsylvania coverage in all or portions of Bucks, Philadelphia and Burlington counties. 1040 AM has a total population reach of approximately 5.9 million people.
