FREEHOLD – On Jan. 24 the Freehold Borough Police Department will hold its first recruitment open house from 6-9 p.m. at police headquarters, 36 Jackson St.
According to a press release, the purpose of the event will be to provide information for people who are considering a career in law enforcement.
Attendees will learn about the New Jersey Department of Personnel law enforcement screening and hiring process as well as salary scale, benefits and other relevant entry-level information. They will also receive information about the Monmouth County Police Academy.
Police Chief Mitch Roth will be on hand along with other command staff and representatives from the various units within the police department to provide information and answer questions.
“For this event we will be reaching out to the various segments of our community as part of our continuing effort to expand our already diverse work force. We hope to have persons of all backgrounds join us for the evening,” Roth said.
