Former Montgomery resident
WATERSMEET, Mich. — Ann Porterfield died Saturday at home. She was 81.
Born in Highland Park, Ill., she was a Highland Park resident for 40 years, a New Jersey resident for 20 years and an Arizona resident for 13 years. Her residences in New Jersey included Montgomery Township.
She majored in music at MacMurray College.
She was a longtime member of P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Episcopal Alter Guild.
Daughter of the late Edwin and Jane Yacht Murfey, she is survived by her husband of 49 years, Roy Porterfield; daughter Susan P. Currie of South Hamilton, Mass.; son John E. Porterfield of Bethlehem, Pa.; sister Sally Ash of Shawano, Wis.; and five grandchildren.
Memorial services will be; held 4 p.m. Feb. 9 at Ely Memorial Church-UCC, Land O’Lakes, Wis.
