    MONTGOMERY — Douglas M. Rhoda died Monday. He was 70.
   He founded Top Knobs USA Inc., a locally-based decorative hardware company.
   Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he served in the Army for two years and attended Rutgers University where he developed an interest in farming.
   He was employed by Proctor & Gamble and several other companies as a salesman before starting his own company in 1969, Somerset Data Inc.
   In 1994 he began Top Knobs USA, which employs many local residents.
   He was a charter member of Montgomery Evangelical Free Church and served on many school, camp, mission, seminary and district boards both domestic and international. His personal mission was to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ.
   Son of the late Matthew and Margaret Rhoda, father of the late George, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan; sons and daughters-in-law are Kurt and Sharon and Erik and Brenda; brother Curtis; and grandchildren Matthew, Whitney, Kaitlyn and Hannah.
   The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Montgomery Evangelical Free Church, 246 Griggstown Road, Montgomery.
   Burial will be in Griggstown Cemetery.
   Visiting hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, Hillsborough.
