Mrs. Yates, 84, of North Brunswick, died Jan. 20, 2008, at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Florida and Edison prior to relocating to North Brunswick in 1984. She was a bookkeeper at Public Service Electric and Gas, New Brunswick, for seven years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of United Methodist Church at New Brunswick. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Metuchen; Order of Amaranth; and the Lady Forresters. She is survived by her husband, Russell P. Yates; two sons, Frederick Olsen of North Brunswick, and Russell J. Yates of Edison; two daughters, Gerri Palmobi ofAntioch, Calif., and Marion Kunsagi of Hamilton; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Burial was at Van Liew Cemetery, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.
