Brick Township finished second to Manchester in the Lakewood High Scotch Doubles Tournament on Saturday at Ocean Lanes.
D’Anna Farmer and Jay Lane on one team, Nicole Nadiello and Travis Breitenbruck on another, and Katarina Kiseli and Terry McMahon on the third team, all ignited Brick Township.
Toms River South was third, Brick Memorial was fourth with the teams of Becky Sherman/FrankAppice,BrittneyMorris/Jon Geller and JessicaAbrecht/Erik Haas.
Brick Memorial’s other two teams finished fifth and seventh andBrick Township’s other two teams finished 11th and 13th.
Kiseli and McMahon combined for the high game of the tournament, a 279, while two pins back were Brick Memorial’s Jordyn DeMont and Kyle Murphy from Brick Memoial’sNo. 2 team. They also had the top series, a 709, followed by Brick Township’s Nardiello and Breitenbruck at 702. Abrecht and Haas ofMemorial were third at 697.
Brick Township and Brick Memorial have their third and final showdown in Shore Conference A South on Tuesday at Ocean Lanes.
The girls teams compete in the NJSIAAsectionals this weekend. The boys sectionals are next weekend.
Shore Conference championships on Route 35 Lanes in Sea Girt are Sunday, Feb. 10 for the girls, and Monday, Feb. 11 for the boys. The top two teams in each division advance.
