Manville Library Logo Contest. The Library is sponsoring a logo contest. The logo will be placed on the library’s official letterhead. Drawings should be no larger than 1½ inches by 3½ inches. The Planaterium at RVCC in North Branch, located on Lamington Road, will present a variety of star shows and laser concerts for audiences of all ages through March. The shows include, The Winter Skies 3 and 7 p.m. Saturdays through March 15; Laser America 4 p.m. Saturdays through March 15; Laser Concerts 8 p.m. Saturdays, Feb. 2, 16 and 23, March 1, 8 and 15; and a variety of Children’s Shows during Feb. and March. Absentee ballots for voters, or authorized messengers for voters who are sick or confined have until 3 p.m. to visit the County Clerks Office in Somerville to fill out an application and receive an absentee ballot. A Lenten “Munching and learning series” will be offered at noon and at 6:45 p.m. Fridays, Feb. 8 through Feb. 29 at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, located at 1900 Brooks Blvd., Hillsborough. Each week will begin with a short Lenten Service in church, followed by a Lenten Soup Meal in the Parish Center with guest speakers.
