Mrs. Taff, 91, of Princeton, died Jan. 9, 2008, at Buckingham Place, Princeton. Born in Bowling Green, Ky., she resided in New Jersey and in Williamsburg, Va., for 15 years before relocating to Princeton. She was instrumental in starting the Clark Hunt Library at the First Methodist Church of Westfield, and served on the board of trustees for the Westfield Public Library. She also worked with various elementary schools to establish libraries. Mrs. Taff was active in the College Women’s Club of Cranford and was president of the College Women’s Club of Westfield. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Wilfred O. Taff. She is survived by a son, David Taff of San Mateo, Calif.; four daughters, Laura Taff of the Kingston section of South Brunswick; Alice Taff Childers of Juneau, Alaska; Jennifer Wheatley of Pipersville, Pa.; and Amy Garibay of Eatontown; and four grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were by M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.
