MORRISVILLE, Pa. Lewis “Lew” Koushel, 78, died Friday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Koushel was a resident of Robbinsville and Whiting before moving to Morrisville.
He retired from the Department of Defense as an industrial engineer, and was formerly employed with the Crossroad Realty in Whiting. He was most recently employed with the Weidel Realty in Hamilton Square. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Koushel was a member of the Robbinsville Seniors Club, the Mercer County Senior Advisory Council and a member and former president of the Whiting Seniors Club.
Son of the late Jack and Gladys Koushel, he is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gloria Koushel; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnne and Sadat Yamak; two step-sons and their wives, Dean and Linda Blaylock, and Harres and Dolores Blaylock; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhoda and Jerry Sobel, and Ann and Ed Solomon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Lorraine Koushel, and Stanley and Deborah Koushel; three sisters-in-law, Janet Walsh, Louise Metzger, and Zenaide Metzger; a grandson, Kyle Dean Blaylock and his companion Kristen; a great-granddaughter Aliya Blaylock; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square with the Rev. Robert Varner officiating. Burial followed at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Arneytown.
