Princeton Township
   Azuceno Portillo, 32, of Princeton was charged with shoplifting and hindering apprehension at 10:35 a.m. Saturday after police said they responded to McCaffrey’s supermarket for a report of an apprehended shoplifter. Store managers told police that Ms. Portillo had left the store with a cart-full of groceries, valued at $200.76, without having paid for them, according to the report. Police said Ms. Portillo initially provided a fictitious name and address. She was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and release on her own recognizance.
   Katherine E. Roche, 51, of Princeton was arrested 8:02 a.m. Monday on a $130 motor vehicle warrant from Princeton Borough following a motor vehicle stop for an overdue inspection sticker, police said. Ms. Roche was transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and released after posting bail.
   Jessica M. Scully, 19, of Blue Spring Road, Montgomery, was taken into custody on an outstanding Princeton Borough traffic warrant after her 1997 Honda was spotted on Route 206 at Herrontown Road about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday. After the stop she was issued summonses for having no liability insurance and failure to have her car inspected. The car was towed from the scene. She was released to Princeton Borough police on the $89 warrant.
Montgomery
   Police responded to a two-car collision on Route 206 near Tamarack Circle at 8:57 a.m. Monday. John Sorrenti, 77, of Glen Cove, N.Y., who was southbound on Route 206 was struck from behind when he stopped for traffic, police said. Satish Murdeshwar, 42, of Hillsborough, the driver of the vehicle that struck Mr. Sorrenti’s car, complained of pain to his chest from an air bag deployment. Montgomery Township Emergency Medical Services responded and treated him at the scene. No summonses were issued.
   Two incidents of criminal mischief were reported at Skillman Village, the former North Princeton Developmental Center, at 10:16 a.m. Monday. Sometime during the preceding two weeks, someone pried off pieces of plywood on two vacant buildings. Nothing was disturbed inside one of the buildings. In the other building, an electric motor was taken. The estimated cost of repairing the plywood at each building is $25. The estimated value of the electric motor is $150.
   A Knickerbocker Drive resident reported being the victim of an attempted scam at 10:06 a.m. Monday. The resident reported that he advertised a car for sale on the Internet and a respondent sent him a $5,000 check — more than the requested price. When the resident informed the buyer of this apparent error, the buyer requested that $2,500 be sent to him and another person. Suspecting a scam, the Montgomery resident did not send any money. The incident is under investigation.
   A two-car crash that resulted in a summons being issued to one of the drivers occurred on Route 206 at Belle Mead-Griggstown Road at 5:36 p.m. Monday. While Brian E. Reiss, 22, of Hillsborough was waiting to make a left turn onto Belle Mead-Griggstown Road from southbound Route 206, his vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Sony James, 32, of Philadelphia. No injuries were reported at the scene. Ms. James was issued summons for careless driving and is scheduled to appear in the Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
   Police responded to a two-car crash on Route 206 at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday. As Sameer Kukarni, 35, of Robbinsville slowed for traffic while driving north on Route 206, his vehicle was struck in the rear by a car being driven by Tahira Randhawa, 22, of Burlington, police said. Ms. Randhawa was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving and is scheduled to appear in Montgomery Township Municipal Court.
   A motor vehicle crash involving a car and a NJ Transit bus occurred on Route 206 near Montgomery Road at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday. Al Hilly Jr., 45, of Princeton was driving a Porsche north on Route 206. As he approached Montgomery Road, Mr. Hilly struck the rear of a NJ Transit bus that was parked in the bus stop area on the northbound shoulder. The driver was the only occupant of the bus at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported. Mr. Hilly was issued a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.
