Montgomery
   A Fieldstone Road resident reported being the victim of a theft at 9:30 a.m. Jan. 29. The resident reported in January 2007 that he ordered and paid $36,278 for a flight simulator from a company located in Georgia. The resident reported that he has yet to receive the simulator from the company. The investigation was forwarded to the Montgomery Township Police Department Detective Bureau for further investigation.
   Police responded to Skillman Village for a report of a burglary from an abandoned building at 2:02 p.m. Jan. 29. The incident occurred sometime overnight. Plywood that had secured a window on the building had been pried off and the window was opened. Nothing was found to be disturbed inside the building. The cost of repairing the plywood was estimated at $25.
   A Hollow Road resident reported 11:32 p.m. Sunday that his rural mailbox was struck by a blunt object between Friday and Sunday, and was knocked off the post. Damage was placed at $100.
West Windsor
   Matthew Varga, 23, of Trenton was arrested for various drug and motor vehicle offenses following a traffic stop at 10:43 p.m. Thursday on southbound Route 1 near the Clarion Hotel, police said. Mr. Varga was stopped for speeding and failure to maintain lamps, and an officer noticed a glassine bag containing marijuana in plain view in the car, according to the report. Mr. Varga was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, speeding and failure to maintain lamps.
   A West Windsor resident reported that her wallet was removed from purse while she was shopping in MarketFair shopping center at 1:15 p.m. Friday. The wallet contained $20 in cash, police said. Police said there was a suspicious light-skinned, heavyset black female in her 40s who had been hanging around the victim, starting conversations that were overly friendly. The suspect was believed to have been driving a beige four-door vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
   Two teenagers, a 16-year-old from Plainsboro and a 17-year-old from West Windsor, were charged with consumption of alcohol under the legal age about 11:30 p.m. Friday. They were taken into custody after police received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Spring Hill Drive.
   Daniel Rivera, 20, of New Brunswick was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop on northbound Route 1 at 3 a.m. Sunday. Mr. Rivera was stopped for speeding and was later found to be intoxicated, according to the report. He was also charged with underage driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and speeding.
   Police arrested Mike Austin, 46, of Trenton at 11:30 a.m. Sunday after he tried to take $76 worth of folding knives from the Wal-Mart in the Nassau Park shopping center. Police said Mr. Austin had cut open six packages containing the knives and concealed them in his jacket pocket.
   Police charged an Old Bridge man with heroin possession following an incident at 8:30 a.m. Sunday on the northbound platform at Princeton Junction train station. Police said they were dispatched to the station after a report was received of a strange man moaning on a platform bench near the ticket office. The man, Nigel Shrimpton Jr., 30, was taken to University Medical Center at Princeton where hospital personnel found four bags of heroin in his clothing, police said. All of the bags of heroin were stamped in green with the words “Frank Lucas.”
   A theft occurred at the Barnes & Noble bookstore parking at MarketFair shopping center Jan. 28 between 4 and 11 p.m. Someone smashed the passenger’s side window of the vehicle owned by a West Windsor resident and stole a Garmin GPS valued at $100 and an iPod adapter valued at $18.
   Two Trenton residents who tried to steal $400 worth of DVDs from the Wal-Mart at the Nassau Park shopping center were arrested 8 p.m. Jan. 29, police reported. Police said Scott Carlisi, 40, tried to throw the DVDs over the fence of the store’s lawn and garden section to an accomplice, Dawn Aust, 36.
   Someone broke into a Coca-Cola vending machine at the Exxon filling station on Route 1 south at Washington Road between 8 p.m. Jan. 28 and 8:15 a.m. Jan. 29. About $15 was taken from the machine, according to police.
Plainsboro
   A $170 carpet cleaner was stolen from a Lee Court residence between Jan. 17 and 22, police said. A friend of the victim stole the cleaner while staying at the victim’s residence, police said. The case is under investigation.
   Two people were charged with various drug offenses following a traffic stop on northbound Route 1 at 3 a.m. Friday. Police said they stopped a car driven by Markis Farrell, 32, of North Brunswick for failure to maintain a lane, and saw Mr. Farrell reaching down toward the passenger seat as if to hide something. A search of the car revealed a container of 26 Percocet pills, and marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in the purse of the passenger, Melissa A. DeCiccio, 24, of South River, police said. Both were charged with possession of the Percocet and Ms. DeCiccio was also charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mr. Farrell also received traffic summonses for failure to maintain a lane, driving with a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle and possession of a controlled and dangerous substance inside a motor vehicle. Both were taken to the Middlesex County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
   Police charged a Trenton man with marijuana possession at 2:48 a.m. Sunday following a motor vehicle stop on southbound Route 1. Police said they stopped a car driven by Omar F. Hall, 28, for motor vehicle violations. He was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, careless driving and possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.
   Stacey Ann Brown, 31, of Princeton was charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 1:40 a.m. Monday. Police said they stopped Ms. Brown’s car for failure to keep right and having a headlight out, and found her to be intoxicated. She was also charged with reckless driving, failure to keep right, driving an uninsured vehicle, failure to inspect, and improper maintenance of lamps.
