MANALAPAN – The Manalapan Police Department is investigating an incident that is being called “suspicious activity” that occurred on Feb. 28 at Manalapan High School, Church Lane.
According to a police statement issued onMarch 3, a teacher reported to the principal what was characterized as a possible drug transaction occurring between a 17- year-old male student and a teacher at the school.
The incident allegedly occurred in the school just after students had started to arrive, according to Manalapan police Capt. Louis Moreto.
Police did not say if the teacher was a man or a woman.
As of press time March 3, Moreto said the matter was still being investigated in order to determine if what was originally reported was in fact what had occurred. No persons had been taken into custody and no charges had been filed as of the morning of March 3.
