Danella, Miller, Hampton top coaches All-Shore Team

Shore Conference Tournament champion Colts Neck put two players on the Shore Basketball Coaches All- Shore girls basketball team.

Guards Brooke Hampton and Lauren Clarke, who led the Cougars to a 28-2 season that included the SCT, Shore Conference A North Division and WOBM Tournament championships, head the First Team selections.

Joining them is the Shore Coaches Player of the Year Kristina Danella of Red Bank Catholic, who led the Shore in scoring (21.6) and rebounding (12.0).

Rounding out the First Team are Rumson Fair Haven forward Kate Miller and St. John Vianney guard Katelyn Linney. Miller’s Bulldogs won the Central Jersey Group III title and Linney’s Lancers were the Non-Public A state champions.

Freehold Borough’s Shannon Mayrose and Rumson-Fair Haven’s Candice Green head the Second Team. Completing the Second Team are Raritan’s Alexa Ryan, Lacey’sAmandaMalkiewicz and St. Rose’s Kelly Clark.

Colts Neck’s John Truhan was the Coach of the Year after guiding the Cougars to three championships and a 26- game winning streak.

SJV’s Dawn Karpell was second in the voting and Howell’s Bill Gallacher was third. Howell was the only Shore team to beat Colts Neck and share the A North title with them.

Hampton and Clarke topped the Shore CoachesAll-DivisionsANorth First Team. Howell’s Denise Crudup, Marlboro’s Megan Reilly and Middletown South’s Danielle Pankey round out the First Team.

Jen Mocanu of Middletown North, Howell’s Michelle Blum and Jacquie Ward, Freehold Township’s Cristina Barthel and Stephanie Cardamone and Middletown South’s Jillian Gannon and Shawna Hagen and Colts Necks Tiffany DeTulio make up the Second Team.

Danella, Linney, Miller and Green head a loaded A Central First Team. Raritan’s Alexa Ryan and Red Bank Regional’s Deanna Mendelson complete the team.

Second Team players were Kim Fiorentino of Holmdel, Missy Repoli of SJV, Dana Graziano of Holmdel, Megan Spanarkel of RBC, Gabbie DePaolo of Rumson and Loreta Tonuzi of Raritan.

A South First Teamers were Kristen Sharkey of Southern,AmandaMalkiewicz and Stephanie Mayfield of Lacey, Vicky DeTata of Brick Township, Annie Mc- Carthy of Brick Memorial, Danielle Thomas of Toms River East and Dana Coronato of Toms River North.

Second Team selections were Lacey’s Tara Malkiewicz and Jami Snyder, Jackson Memorial’s Dana Costello, and Christa Evans and Erica Kane of Toms River East.

Mayrose and teammate Sehmonyeh Allen of the B North champion Freehold Borough Colonials head the First Team. Syessence Davis and Shakena Richardson, who led Neptune to the Central Jersey Group III title and Monmouth’s Tia Curtis join the Colonials on the First Team.

Ocean Township’s A. Farrow, Marlena Klein and Gina Samples, Neptune’s MarlieMauvais, andWall’s Kathryn Campbell and Erica Reckage make up the B North Second Team.

Mater Dei’s Lauren Florio, Keyport’s Samia Boyton, Keansburg’s Faith Flannery and Shore’s LizWest join Kelly Clark of champion St. Rose on the B Central First Team.

Second Team recognition went to Ryan Killeen of Mater Dei, Crystal Cocozza of Asbury Park, Cori Murran and Kate Benedict of Shore, Erica Meyer of Point Pleasant Beach and Janine Mullin and Gia Russo of St. Rose.

The division Coaches of the Year were: Truhan and Gallacher, A North; Karpell, A Central; Patty Cooke of Lacey, A South; John Brown of Neptune, B North; Mark Truhan of Shore, B Central; and Rich Morgan of B South.
