MANVILLE — Esther Margaret Kormondi died March 29 at home. She was 86.
Born in Pittock, Pa., she lived most of her life in New Brunswick before moving to Manville 22 years ago.
Ms. Kormondi served as a major in the U.S. Army Nurses Corps for 25 years after World War II. She was a nurse and health teacher for over 22 years for Manville Public Schools.
She was a member of the Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick.
Surviving are a sister, Kathleen Remlinger of Manville, with whom she lived; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday from Gowen Funeral Home in New Brunswick.
