Princeton Township
A two-car collision occurred on Route 206 near Cherry Valley Road about 10:36 p.m. Thursday, police reported. A 2006 Isuzu driven by Craig Accosta, 32, of Old Bridge collided with a 2003 Toyota driven by Ann Hyatt-Stewart, 44, of Hillsborough. Ms. Hyatt-Stewart was trapped in her car and had to be extricated by the Princeton First Aid & Rescue Squad, but her injuries were minor, police said. Mr. Accosta was not injured. The case is under investigation by police who said charges were pending. Route 206 was closed for an hour and both vehicles were towed away. Witnesses are asked to call Patrol Officer Tony Strong at 609-921-2100, ext. 876.
Brittany Parisi, 19, of Clifton was charged with careless driving after her car struck a mailbox and a tree, causing her 2007 Acura MDX to overturn in the middle of Prospect Avenue near Carnegie Drive about 2:48 p.m. Friday, police reported. She told police she lost control of the vehicle after swerving to avoid a small animal, according to the report. She was treated for neck and head pain at University Medical Center at Princeton.
Montgomery
A Blawenburg resident reported March 28 that the glass to a rear porch door had been shattered. The resident had been away since mid-February and returned to find the damage. Entry was not gained to the house.
Janet J. Campbell of Frenchtown was arrested at 11:59 a.m. Saturday on an outstanding warrant issued by Montgomery Township Municipal Court. She was released after posting $140 bail.
A resident of The Great Road reported Saturday that a door of a wood storage shed in the rear yard was damaged overnight. A wooden slat was broken off but no entry was gained and nothing was reported missing. Damage was estimated at $50.
Raquel Rivera, 25, of Elizabeth was arrested on an outstanding warrant issued by Elizabeth Municipal Court following a traffic stop about 10:50 a.m. Sunday. She was driving with an expired inspection sticker and it was determined that her driver’s license was suspended and there was an active warrant for her arrest, police said. She was charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended license and having an expired inspection sticker. She was released after posting $580 in bail.
Sergio Delgiudice, 19, of Montgomery was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped on Route 206 near Route 518 about 2:30 p.m. Sunday for having an expired inspection sticker, police said. After the stop, a marijuana pipe was seen attached to the ignition key and further inspection determined that the pipe contained burned marijuana residue, police said.
Avon G. Mackel, 19, of Montgomery was charged with obstruction of justice about 5 p.m. Sunday after police said they responded to his residence on an anonymous 911 call. On arriving at the residence, police said they encountered Mr. Mackel who was in a state of rage after arguing with other family members. He did not comply with requests by officers and approached them in an aggressive manner, police said. Police said they sprayed him with pepper spray and then took him into custody. He was later released pending a court appearance.
Jessica Scully of Blue Spring Road was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant issued by Pohatcong Township in Warren County about 10:41 p.m. Sunday. Police said her car was stopped on Route 206 for an equipment violation and she was charged with improper maintenance of lamps. She was released after posting $114 in bail.
Adrian Qua, 19, of Montgomery was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams during a car stop for a vehicle inspection on Pike Run at 3:45 p.m. March 24, police said. Police smelled an odor of burned marijuana coming from inside the vehicle and located a marijuana cigarette and a tube used to store marijuana in Mr. Qua’s pocket, according to the report. He was transported to police headquarters for processing and issued motor vehicle summonses for failure to make repairs and for possession of drugs in a vehicle.
Plainsboro
Anupam Biswas, 36, of Voorhees was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, speeding, making an unsafe lane change, failure to maintain a lane and failure to signal on about 2:21 a.m. Friday. Police said his 2006 Mercedes Benz was stopped on southbound Route 1 for going 76 mph in a 55-mph zone. The car was also seen making two unsafe lane changes and failing to maintain a single lane, police said.
Autumn Greenleaf, 39, of Lamont Avenue, Hamilton, was charged with defiant trespass about 3:05 a.m. Sunday after police said they received a report of an intoxicated female refusing to leave a premises on Windrows Drive. She allegedly refused to obey a security officer and police instructions to leave the premises, according to the report. Following her arrest she was released on her own recognizance on an outstanding $1,228 warrant out of Ewing Township.
Syed Abbas, 23, of Trenton was charged with obstruction and hindering apprehension after his car was stopped on Scudders Mill Road about 1:16 a.m. Sunday after he was found to have a warrant issued for his arrest out of Woodbridge Township, police reported. Police said he did not have any identification and provided false information to conceal his identity. He was committed to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center in default of $2,500 bail, according to the report.
