Mrs. Kalaka, 80, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y., died March 21, 2008, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was predeceased by two brothers, Henry and Leon Cichinsky. She is survived by her husband, Arthur; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Arthur Kalaka of New York City, Robert and Virginia Kalaka of Poughkeepsie, Michael and Frances Kalaka of Atlantic Highlands, and William and Deborah Kalaka of Oceanport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo-Ann Kalaka-Adams and James of Sea Bright, and Jackie Kalaka-Reeves and Gary of Ansonia, Conn.; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Wappingers Falls. Entombment was at Fishkill (N.Y.) Rural Cemetery. Arrangements were by Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, Wappingers Falls.
