Virginia K. Boone, 87, died April 12 at Capital Health System, Mercer Campus.
Born in Yardley, Pa., she had lived in Pennington for over 60 years.
For many years, Ms. Boone worked on the family dairy farm and later for Mobil Research and Development from which she retired in 1992. She also attended the First United Methodist Church in Pennington and the Flemington Assembly of God.
Predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Daniel Z. Boone, and her brother Charles J. Whitecraft, she is survived by a son Daniel W. Boone and a daughter Sharon L. Boone, both of Pennington; a brother William Whitecraft of Yardley, Pa.; a sister in-law L. Jane Whitecraft of Whiting; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held April 17 at 10 a.m. at Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington. A Celebration of Life will be held April 20 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 60 S. Main St., Pennington.
