The Brick Recreation Department has teamed up with local instructors to offer a series of fitness classes for adults. The classes will be held at Windward Beach, Princeton Avenue, beginning in May.
Four sessions of Fitness Boot Camp will begin May 2. Each session will be four weeks long with classes meeting three times per week for an hour. Brick resident Matt Jennings, who has years of experience in exercise both as an athlete and fitness expert, will teach the classes.
Boot camps are open to any Brick resident age 18 or older. They will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8- 9 a.m. The fee is $130 per person. Participants must bring water and a towel. All other equipment will be provided. Registration is now open for the first session, which begins May 2 and concludes May 28, and is limited to 15 students. Other sessions will be June 9 to July 4, July 14 to Aug. 8, and Aug. 18 to Sept. 12. Registration for each of these sessions opens four weeks prior to the start of class.
Pilates on the Beach will be offered on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, 8:30- 9:30 a.m. The Pilates class will feature six-week sessions and costs $55 per student. Brick resident Rosie O’Donnell, who is certified by the National Exercise and Trainer Association, will lead the classes.
Registration is now open for the first session, which begins May 5 and ends June 12. A second session will be offered from June 17 to July 24; registration will open four weeks prior to the start of the first class.
