Gather all your unwanted spring-cleaning treasures to sell at Jamesburg’s annual Spring Townwide Yard Sale, scheduled for Saturday, May 17, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., rain or shine.
Nonresidents are invited to participate, but must rent table space you provide the table and chairs for $10 per space at the Jamesburg Presbyterian Church parking lot, East Church Street and Gatzmer Avenue.
Jamesburg residents may register their homes for listing on the yard sale flyer/map that will be available throughout the town on Friday, May 16.

The Might Oak Players is seeking singers and actors 18 years and older for its “Godspell” auditions.
Audition dates are Monday, May 5 and Tuesday, May 6, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Richard P. Marasco Center for the Performing Arts, Perrineville Road. Callbacks will be Thursday, May 8.

Monroe Township Recreation Department is now accepting applications for Summer Recreation and Monroe Township Special Education Parents Association Summer camp counselors.
Applications can be picked up at the Monroe Township Community Center, Monmouth Road, from Monday through Friday. 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. or Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Applications will be accepted through April 30. The camps will run from June 30 through July 31.
Monroe Township residents, guests and high school students can enjoy golfing at the Clearbrook Golf Club on Tuesdays, through Oct. 7. Fee is $15. The first tee-off time is 4 p.m.

The Jamesburg Area Patriotic Committee plans to publish a commemorative booklet that will be distributed on Monday, May 26 during the 125th Jamesburg-Monroe-Helmetta Memorial Day parade.
In addition to including the parade program and history, the committee hopes to include photographs from past parades.
Anyone interested in donating parade photos should send them to JAPC, P.O. Box 182, Jamesburg, N.J. 08831-0182. To help with captions, any available information should be included with the images.

Through the end of May, The Kiddie Academy, Route 130, is offering two free programs to the children of Cranbury and its surrounding areas.
Power Play, for 3 and 4 year olds, is a six-week program that focuses on reading, handwriting and math.
Two’s Time will introduce 2 year olds to the school experience with snacks, circle time, crafts, friends and more.

The Jamesburg Child Care Program will be offering a summer-
camp program, which is sponsored by the Jamesburg Board of Education and offers recreational activities, summer fun and quality childcare from June 30 through Aug. 22. Camp is held at the John F. Kennedy School, located on Front Street. Children can be dropped off as early as 7 a.m. and picked up as late as 6 p.m.
The program is structured to provide summer fun and keep children active. A variety of activities will keep everyone busy, even on rainy days. Arts and crafts, games, sports, special contests, computers and music are all part of the fun.
The staff consists of certified teachers, a certified nurse and experienced counselors who closely supervise children at all times. Safety is always the priority.
Children either between 4½ and 12½ years old or are in kindergarten through seventh grade are welcome. Residency is not a requirement and non-residents of Jamesburg are welcome to attend.
Children may be registered weekly or daily with no minimum number of weeks or days required. We even offer half-day programs. Parents have the flexibility to design their own programs with any combination of weeks or days.

The Woman’s Club of Cranbury will be awarding two $2,000 scholarships to Cranbury Township students who will begin their first year of post-secondary education in the 2008-2009 academic year.
The club began its scholarship program in 2007 and awarded two scholarships in May of that year.
Students are required to complete an application, which can be found on the club’s Web site, www.cranbury.org/clubs/wcc/ or in the Cranbury Public Library. Applications are due by April 30.

The Jamesburg Elks will be sponsoring a flag sale through Saturday, June 14.
There are various flag sizes, types, and price ranges, as well as flag kits.
