Princeton University’s concept site plan application for a new neuroscience and psychology building will be presented to Regional Planning Board of Princeton on Thursday night.
The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at Princeton Township Hall.
The facility would be located on the west side of Washington Road, across from the university’s new chemistry building, which is being constructed on the former site of the armory near Princeton Stadium.
The university intends to build a 300-foot pedestrian bridge that will be elevated 20 feet above Washington Road at its highest point to connect the neuroscience and psychology building to the chemistry building, according to Kristin Appelget, the university’s community and regional affairs director. The bridge is to be named the Streicker Bridge, after Princeton alum John Harrison Streicker.
Plans for the chemistry building and pedestrian bridge received unanimous approval from the board in July.
