Hopewell Boro Block Party planning under way

First event June 13 from 7-10 p.m. outside on the Dana Communications property

A group of Hopewell Borough residents recently met and created a new nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the community together and to promote awareness of local happenings and the businesses in town.
The first annual Hopewell Boro Block Party will be held at the White Tent on June 13 from 7-10 p.m. outside on the Dana Communications property at 2 E. Broad St/
The theme will be “Under the Stars,” which will feature “The Lifters,” a dance band, and hors d’oeuvres from Brothers Moon Restaurant and freshly baked samples from the Nomad Pizza Truck.
Tickets, $30 per person, include food, beverages from the Historic Hopewell House, a Commemorative Pint glass, and the chance to reconnect with friends and neighbors under the sky. Attendees must be 21 to purchase tickets.
Tickets are available at Boro Bean Coffee Shop, PNC Bank, or by calling Sharon Snyder at 466-6637 or Deb Stuhler at 865-9818.
If weather permits, tickets will be on sale outside of Boro Bean coffee shop on May 17 from 10 a.m.-noon.
The event also will focus on raising awareness of what is happening in the local community. Information regarding the YMCA, the Gazebo Park playground structure, the borough’s Economic Development Committee, and the Sourland Mountain Preserve will be featured at the “Community Corner.”
This event also will promote local businesses. Planners are partnering with the following sponsors — the Blue Bottle restaurant, Brothers Moon restaurant, Boro Bean Coffee Shop, Dana Communications, Sandy Brown: Gloria Nilson GMAC Real Estate, GMCL Contractors, Historic Hopewell House, Nomad Pizza, Robert Fuller: Capital Markets Management, LLC, PNC Bank, and Queenstown Gallery in Hopewell.
