The 17th annual Jason Creager Memorial Golf Tournament sponsored by Jason’s Dreams for Kids will take place at 1:30 p.m. June 2 at the Suneagles Golf Course, Fort Monmouth, Eatontown. The cost is $175 per golfer. Sponsorships are available at $125 each, and sponsors will be recognized with a sign on a tee or green. There will be a raffle, prizes and dinner for golfers.
A steak bake to benefit Jason’s Dreams for Kids will be held 7-9 p.m. June 27 at Elks Lodge 2179, 251 Church St., Belford section of Middletown. Brookdale Community College and Centenary College, Hackettstown, have honored Tim McLoone, founder of Holiday Express, for his volunteer efforts. He and the nonprofit received the Dominick V. Romano Volunteer Award at Centenary’s commencement, and McLoone received an honorary degree at Brookdale’s commencement. Holiday Express, founded in 1993, is a volunteer nonsectarian organization dedicated to bringing music, gifts and holiday cheer to those less fortunate.
