Mrs. VanDerveer, 86, a lifelong resident of Farmingdale, died May 30, 2008, at home. She was a dressmaker for Maidenform, Farmingdale, and during World War II made bomber jackets. Mrs. VanDerveer is survived by her husband, William B. VanDerveer; a daughter, Carol Ann Russell of Belford, Va.; and two grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale, under the direction of the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
