Army Sgt. Eric McCoy has been mobilized and activated for deployment overseas to a forward operating base in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. The sergeant is a civil affairs specialist normally assigned to the 404th Civil Affairs, Fort Dix, and has served in the military for 22 years. A 1985 graduate of Middletown High School South, he is the son of Peggy and Richard C. Hughes of the Leonardo section of Middletown.
Air Force Airman Daniel M. Johnson has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. A 2004 graduate of Middletown High School South, he is the son of Laura Johnson of North Middletown and Marc Johnson of Red Bank.
