Mrs. Hanson, 74, of Farmingdale, died May 21, 2008, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, after a long battle with scleroderma. She was a 60-year member of the First UnitedMethodist Church of Farmingdale and a member of the Eastern Star, Como Temple Chapter, Spring Lake, for the past 20 years. Mrs. Hanson was a bookkeeper for her son-inlaw’s practice, retiring in 2005. She was predeceased by a sister, Carrie Brown. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Calvin D. Hanson; four daughters, Christine M. Hanson and her companion, Charles James, of Stanhope, Carrie and her husband, Dr. Alan Klein, of Ocean, Valerie and her husband, Joseph Ferraro, of Winn,Maine, and Lori and her husband, Bryan Oakes, of Howell; two brothers, Stephen Megill of Florida and Racine Megill of Farmingdale; two sisters, Miriam Miller of Long Branch and Helen Megill of Farmingdale; and 12 grandchildren. Services were held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by private interment.
