A bowling party to benefit the homeless animals housed at the Monmouth County SPCA, Eatontown, will be held June 5 from 2-5 p.m. at Strathmore Bowling Alley, Route 34, Matawan. The event, sponsored by Better Homes Realty, New Homes Division, will feature gift baskets, a 50/50, and jewelry bazaar by Barkingdales. The Saint Jerome Roman Catholic Church on Wall Street in West Long Branch is hosting a yard sale on church grounds from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 7. A rain date for the event is scheduled for June 14.

TheWanamassa Elementary School in Ocean Township is expected to host a blood drive June 9 in order to assist three district students who have been diagnosed with leukemia. The Deal Historical Society will present “Shadows of Shadow Lawn” 7:30 p.m. June 9 at Deal Borough Hall, Roseld and Norwood avenues. The film documentary depicts ghostly occurrences at Monmouth University. Special guests will be filmmakers Tom Hanley and Patrick Perrotto, who will lecture and answer questions about their experiences. The public is invited to attend this free event. The Wellness Community, Eatontown, will present “Woman to Woman: An Intimate Discussion” 6:30 p.m. June 11. A light dinner will be provided. The open discussion with Dr. Mindy Wiser-Estin, gynecologist, and Victoria Perry, LCSW, will be on managing the psycho-sexual concerns experienced by many women.
