Richard C. Hoidal

Mr. Hoidal, 73, of Red Bank, died May 24, 2008, at Legacy Hopewell House Hospice, Portland, Ore. He resided in Galveston, Texas, and Wilmington, Del., prior to relocating to Monmouth County. He owned Worden Hoidal Funeral Home, Red Bank, and Oakhurst section of Ocean Township. Prior to that, he built and owned Richard C. Hoidal Funeral Home, Oakhurst. He was a former member of the Ocean Township Planning Board, Monmouth and Ocean County Development Council, and Red Bank Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by a son, Richard C. Hoidal Jr. of Gresham, Ore.; two daughters and one son-in-law, CathyM. andMarkMidkiff of Laurel,Md., and Mary Alexandra Hoidal of New York City; two stepsons, David R. Hoidal and his wife Tammy, andMatthewM. Hoidal, all ofMaine; a brother and sister-in-law, Lars Ronald and Evita Hoidal of Williamsburg, Va.; five grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews. A funeral service was at The First Presbyterian Church at Red Bank. Interment was at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls. Arrangements were by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.Memorial donations may be made to the Michael J.
