Active Montgomery volunteer
MONTGOMERY — Edith Ellen Hutchison Lawrence died Saturday at Princeton Care Center. She was 86.
Born and raised in Utica, N.Y., she moved to the Belle Mead section of the township in 1959.
She worked for Opinion Research Corp. in Princeton for 15 years.
She was an active member of the Harlingen Reformed Church, the Montgomery Township Republican Committee, Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was a former Boy Scout and Girl Scout den mother and active in the Montgomery PTA.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Francis Earl Lawrence; sons Richard A. Lawrence of Elon, N.C. and Bruce E. Lawrence of Montgomery; daughter Carol L. Workman of Burke, Va.; and grandson Christopher J. Campbell of Burke, Va.
Visiting hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, Hillsborough. There will be an 8 p.m. service.
