Thompson Grove Park’s grand opening will be held from 3-7 p.m. June 29 on Thompson Grove Road, Manalapan. The park features walking trails, picnic areas and an 8-acre open field. There will be live music, face painting, balloon animals, food and family activities.
The park opening will also mark the start of the Summer Concert Series sponsored by the Manalapan Arts Council. Tropical Expressions, a cover band based in Manalapan that plays familiar songs with an island sound using steel pan, conga drums, guitar and bass, will open the show followed by Tropical Rhythms, a New York-based Caribbean band specializing in reggae, calypso and soca.
