Mr. Gfrerer, 77, of Edison, formerly of East Brunswick, Monroe and Jackson, died May 17, 2008, in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a former Republican committeeman in East Brunswick. His wife, Rita Gfrerer, died in 1992. Surviving are three daughters, Diane Berry of Edison, Denise Boucher of Boston and Janice Steigler of Roxbury; his companion, Marilyn McCallion of Jackson; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown.
